To Frog, or Not To Frog
Jan. 23rd, 2019 05:27 pmI have a lace shawl that I'm just under a third of the way through on. It's been sitting in my knitting bag hibernating for months now, and it feels more like a slog to knit, rather than something I'm enjoying.
I'm debating over ripping it apart, though frogging it will probably make me cry, but I'm no longer really enjoying it.

on 2019-01-26 09:52 pm (UTC)Do you have any other use in mind for the wool (and will it be reusable)?
Do you have any reason to anticipate enjoying it in the future (e.g. when you've got past the current boring section and get to find out how a new bit of the pattern works)?

on 2019-01-26 10:21 pm (UTC)I've found another pattern for the yarn, I can make at least one skein of the green yarn work (since I didn't use much of that one.) The other one is still stuffed in the bottom of my knitting bag, waiting to be frogged.
The pattern was one that repeated the same 10-row pattern throughout the shawl, no new techniques once I'd gotten the pattern down.
