Job Hunting Bullshit
Jun. 12th, 2019 04:40 pmUgh, so I had the meeting with my counselor today, and they won't let me change my career goals until I've been job hunting for 6-12 months with them and getting nothing. According to them, 3 months isn't that long.
I've been job hunting on my own for like 6 months total, and I've only gotten one interview, and that interview sucked ass.
Also, they won't support me financially in going back to school, because apparently with my business degree, I can do that with my disability. So going back to school for medical coding (which I'm looking at) won't be supported by them, because they don't want to have to support people through multiple degrees.
*screams in frustration*

May. 1st, 2019 09:47 amI finished the main questline in Starbound last night.
Tbh, the plot was just okay, it was another Chosen One Saves The Universe plot, which tbh I'm really tired of in fantasy and sci-fi. The quests about scanning stuff were really tedious, though it did give my character an excuse to explore.
Spoilers under the cut

Apr. 8th, 2019 10:23 amI really, really, wish I knew what I was doing wrong when it comes to my job hunt.
I've been applying, sending in my resume and cover letters, all my information is correct...and I either still get rejected, or I never hear back.
I know I have no experience, but how do you get experience if no one will hire you??????

Apr. 7th, 2019 05:08 pmI think I'm in love with loom knitting.
I've cast on a blanket, and so far I've got 11 rows knit within two days, which is *way* faster than I would normally knit 105 worsted weight stitches (usually a row or two a day at the most, depending.)
It *does* have a learning curve, and so far I only know the e-wrap stitch, *but* the e-wrap have a lovely wave-y texture to it that looks really neat. I love how it's nearly impossible to drop a stitch (though I have some some accidental yarn overs,) and that I can just put my loom down in he middle of a row without losing my place.
